Techniques on Reducing Ambiguity Together
Description:
IIBA provides a great set of concrete skills areas and processes to help Business Analysts structure the way they think about their craft. All of it involves great communication. In this session we’ll explore together a few lessons in effective communication taken from the distinctive and unique careers of three pioneers: 1) Virginia Satir - We’ll learn one of her many models for communication called the the ‘Interaction Model’.
2) Jerry Weinberg - We’ll use an interesting exercise from Jerry’s decades old yet timeless book ‘Requirements before Design’ to explore our interpreted meanings of very simple sentences.
3) David Grove - We will learn a few of his Clean Language questions and watch a short video clip of a Product Owner being asked Clean Questions in a story elaboration exercise.
